For Karen, travel isn’t just about going places, it’s about creating moments that stay with you forever. Growing up in Ecuador, she spent her childhood exploring with her family, and those early adventures planted the seed for a life in tourism. 

As Galakiwi’s Head Adventure Specialist, Karen turns big dreams into real itineraries. She’s the go-to for creating experiences that balance adventure with authenticity. Drawing on her deep knowledge of Ecuador and her 15 years in tourism, Karen is an expert crafting unforgettable journeys. From the first email to the final goodbye, she makes sure travelers feel supported, excited, and connected to the places they visit.

Outside of her professional role, Karen finds balance through yoga, which helps her recharge and stay grounded in both life and work. Nature is her constant source of inspiration, whether she’s hiking through forests, climbing, reading a book outdoors, or enjoying a quiet evening movie. In everything she does, Karen brings intention, care, and a deep respect for the world around her.

When asked about her favorite spot in the Galápagos, Karen says she loves the entire archipelago far too much to choose just one.

Her favorite animal? Sea lions, especially the playful pups and the gentle way mothers care for them.
