Our Staff
Laura leads Galakiwi’s sales and marketing, shaping how guests experience the islands from the moment they first discover us to the memories they take home. She designs and refines itineraries, develops processes that keep everything running smoothly, and is always looking for ways to improve and innovate. Her work strengthens our brand, supports the sales team, and ensures every trip reflects the passion, care, and attention to detail that define Galakiwi.
With a background in business development, Laura brings a big-picture approach to creating seamless guest experiences and strong partnerships. Her first visit to the islands in 2009 proved life-changing, not only was she captivated by the wildlife and landscapes, but she also met her husband, Pablo, one of Galakiwi’s first and main guides. She soon made the islands her permanent home and has now lived in the Galápagos for more than 15 years.
Today, Laura is as passionate as ever about sharing the magic of the islands through authentic, sustainable travel. Some of her favorite moments are raising her two boys here, where their playground is the ocean, beaches, and wildlife of the Galápagos. Every day still brings a new surprise, and she loves seeing that same sense of wonder in Galakiwi’s guests.
Her favorite animal? It’s hard to pick just one; her top choice changes often, but today it’s the penguin and marine iguana, two very different, extraordinary in a way you can only experience here.
What Laura hopes every traveler takes home:
There’s no other place like the Galápagos. It’s a rare and special opportunity to reconnect with nature in a way that feels pure and unforgettable. I hope every guest leaves with a deeper love for nature and a commitment to protecting it, carrying that connection long after they’ve returned home.
