In 2017, after 7 years of framing houses in Massachusetts winters, I was ready for a change. That change came in the shape of the Galapagos Islands! Swapping sweltering summers, freezing winters, fall foliage, and non-existent springs for the lava fields and comparatively consistent climate of the Galapagos was quite a change. Despite the major climate and cultural differences the Galapagos, specifically San Cristobal, and the amazing wildlife and nature quickly felt let home to me.
After about a year in Ecuador, I began my journey with Galakiwi. Coming from a construction background the office life, similar to island life, was all new to me. Because of the family atmosphere promoted here at Galakiwi, I found the transition very easy. For many people, a trip to the Galapagos is the trip of a lifetime, and I'm lucky to be in a position to help people get the most out of those once in a lifetime trips.
Outside of work, I'm always looking for the next opportunity to pull on the scuba gear and explore the underwater world. Depending on the season I enjoy getting out for a bike ride or getting on the water to do some SUP and play football (soccer) year-round.
