Galakiwi at ATTA events: Exciting Learning Opportunities & Connections

This content is available in English only

For more than a decade, the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA) has been building a global community of adventure travel professionals through events that inspire learning, networking, and collaboration.

This September, our Head Adventure Specialist, Karen, who you may have met if you’ve ever joined a Galakiwi tour or made an inquiry with us, had the honor of attending AdventureNEXT Cuenca 2025 as a delegate. The event, hosted by ATTA and Ecuador’s Ministry of Tourism, not only strengthened Ecuador’s positioning as an authentic and diverse destination but also opened doors to new strategic partnerships, highlighting the natural, cultural, and gastronomic richness of Cuenca.

Karen shared her reflections:

“Attending as a delegate gives you countless opportunities to connect with people from the adventure travel industry, which is always valuable. It’s also a chance to keep learning and absorb insights from the event’s presenters.”

AdventureNEXT Cuenca brought together delegates from around the world to discuss culture, conservation, and connections, with highlights including hiking in Cajas National Park and exploring Cuenca’s artisan traditions. We’re grateful to Ecuador’s Ministry of Tourism for inviting us to this important gathering and look forward to continuing the conversations started there.

“Participating in ATTA events is invaluable. These gatherings allow us not only to get to know the host destination but also to learn even more about delivering top services and maintaining high-quality standards.”

We’re honored to have been specially invited by Ecuador’s Ministry of Tourism and look forward to continuing to support and promote sustainable travel.

And the excitement doesn’t stop there! This month, Laura, our Business Development and Sales Manager, will be representing Galakiwi at the Adventure Travel World Summit in Puerto Natales, Chile. This annual event brings together over 800 leaders in adventure tourism to celebrate, innovate, and share knowledge through expert-led discussions and workshops.

Key topics will include AI in travel, the evolving role of guides, and safety and risk management, all aligned with our core values of community and responsible tourism.

We’re truly excited to connect with like-minded professionals and help shape the future of adventure travel. We can’t wait to be there, and we hope to see you too! Follow us on LinkedIn to stay updated with our latest business news.
